The Person Centred Approach

Person-centred counselling is based on empathy. Empathy is a skill that helps me to see events from your perspective. That means I will take a walk in your shoes to genuinely understand how you’re thinking and feeling. Listening and considering every situation through your eyes before helping you to explore the possibilities or the barriers stopping you moving forward. I travel every step of the way to help you find your understanding of your experience.

Your Session

There's no judgement in the room, no matter what you bring to the session. We will aim to build a trustworthy relationship where you feel free and supported to disclose whatever is troubling you.  I will help you to explore your issues, feelings, beliefs and  behaviour that may be getting in the way of moving forwards positively..   The space is yours, you lead the way at your pace and it is completely confidential.

Services

Face to Face Session

Online Session

Telephone Session

Meeting for a face to face session would be arranged between us, at a time and  place suitable for you.  We would have a 50 minute session together.

Once you book a session, I will send some information and a questionnaire to fill out about yourself, a few personal details asking a  some questions about what you feel you are coming to therapy for, and most importantly what you hope to get out of therapy. If you're not sure,  that’s perfectly okay.

£45.00 per session

Zoom is a way for us to see each other face-to-face from your computer whilst engaging in therapy. You will be guided through setting up your own encrypted Zoom account and we will meet on Zoom at a time that we have previously arranged.  Sessions are 50 minutes in length. Being able to see each other gives you more of the benefits you get from face-to face counselling but with the convenience of online therapy.  Online counselling therapy take place within a secure, encrypted environment to offer you confidentiality and safety.

£40.00 per session

Your telephone counselling session can happen through the Zoom system, or via a handset, but without the visual aspects. You can choose to remain anonymous and the conversation is encrypted if held on Zoom. An advantage of telephone counselling is that non-verbal communication can be carried in your tone of voice or the pace of speech which can be picked up.
You will need a private room  where you will not be overheard.
